The Subjective Basis of Objective Analysis

All objective analysis lies upon a subjective base - specifically, the implicit set of assumptions that are believed to be true by the individuals involved in designing and interpeting the analysis.

These assumptions may be either "blind-faith" or empirically based depending on the individual.

Nonetheless, even though the key assumptions are often unprovable, they models they produce turn out to be useful for developing a utilitarian understanding of things.

Culture And Ancestor Knowledge Transmission

The true pleasure of pursing a project such as this is attained when one stumbles upon the great intellectual works of those who have come before us - works that bring richness, depth, focus, and clarity to bear upon the great existential questions that mankind has sought an answer to since time immemorial.

An individual´s intellect deeply shaped by their enculturation and socialization - and culture is ancestor knowledge transmission.

Without the aid of those that have preceeded us, each person would have to start from scratch, but fortunately for ourselves this is not so. - we stand on the shoulders of our ancestors and take off from where they left off.

Because of this, we are each in a fortunate situation - we can make progress by synthesizing the work of those who came before us, make a meaningful contribution to the dialog, and carry the project forward for those of the next generation to refine.

Implicit in this is the idea that one's own intellectual output is merely one's own interpetation of the great ideas of others.

Surely, great ideas arise on occassion - but most great ideas have antecedents that prepared the ground and made it fertile.
